Subtitle: This naming scheme is starting to get out of hand.
I took a work trip to Tampa, where I visited a farm, explored downtown Ybor, spent a day in the beautiful Feeding Tampa Bay Facility with comrades from across the state (the only pictures that came out any good were the ones from the farm).
I went to the Tropical Nights event here in DeLand, which also took place during the weekly Farmer’s Market. And the next day, I went to the local 50501 protest.
In this post you will see pictures from each of these events.
Shoutout to Reformed Film Lab for developing these!
Producer’s notes: Sofia started a photography instagram! Check it out!! Also, I started an Instagram account for this blog — give us a follow @becoming_whatever.
As always, click to enlarge the smaller pics.
Meacham Urban Farm
Honestly, I wasn’t going to include many of these pictures at all. But Sofia insisted, saying it reminded them of the version of Florida they picture in their head. I thought that was sweet, so here they are:

More farm animals. Sofia liked all the horizontal lines in the right picture, specifically the different lines of brown in the mulch and then the green foliage in the background.

I’m not sure what makes a landscape picture good, but these three were my attempts at capturing the nice scenery of the farm. If not for Sofia’s urging, I probably would’ve only included the greenhouse picture from these three.
Tropical Nights

Left: Tug of war
Right: I love taking pics of other photographers

Kids being kids. I definitely feel weird taking pics of kids, especially when they’re this young. There was an open hose nearby this location with lots of kids playing in the water that I just didn’t feel comfortable shooting at all, but Sofia got some good shots of them. Thoughts on taking pics of kids? Leave a comment, or send me a private message!
Farmer’s Market

As much I don’t like posed pictures, these kids were being fun and what, am I gonna say no? The one in the black shirt in the middle is extremely photogenic.

Sofia!!!

End of one roll / start of another

This dude always carries his little dogs around with him, off leash, and they’re just extremely chill and well-behaved.

No-scope fist bump is so steezy.

Mr. Joseph, of Pig Tail Farms, and his dog! I don’t know why, but I struggle so hard to get a good pic of him. Great guy, you should all go buy his pickles.
Saturday

People in cars. What more can I say?

This dude is always asking me to take his picture, which is great, cause he really hams it up for me.

Lots of great photo opportunities generated by this counter-protester. Especially when he accidentally flew his sign upside-down for a solid half hour without realizing. I bet friend-of-the-blog Pub Classroom would appreciate some of these depictions of political disagreement…

This dude was definitely getting annoyed with me hovering around him trying to get his picture, which of course just made the picture that much better.

Local barista Alex never fails to put a smile on customers’ faces!

Thanks for viewing! I hope you enjoyed!
